Meanwhile here is a view of the magnificent exhibition of ancient artifacts on display at the Syntagma square metro station that many visitors will be familiar with.  Why not have a look at the page entitled "Take a plane?'  There is a link on the home page.
There are many superb exhibits of archeological artifacts from ancient Athens, discovered during the construction of the modern metro.  Photographs of digs which uncovered entire communities - roads, streets foundations of houses, drainage systems and even cemeteries.  There are many complete and reconstructed items of pottery, toys and household goods displayed at several stations.  Even, at Syntagma, a sectioned stone coffin complete with skeleton.  Well worth a visit.
